Request Account Deletion
We value your privacy. If you want to permanently delete your Gratitude account and all associated data,
you can do this directly in the app or by contacting us via email.
Option 1: Delete your account in the app (recommended)
This is the fastest and most reliable way to delete your data instantly.
- Open the Gratitude app on your device.
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Scroll down to the "Data & Privacy" section.
- Tap on Delete Account.
- Confirm your choice. Your account and data will be permanently erased from our servers.
Option 2: Request deletion via email
If you cannot access the app anymore, you can request deletion manually through our support team.

Please include:
your User ID (if known), your device friend code, or a copy/screenshot of your latest
App Store / Google Play receipt. This helps us locate and remove the correct data.
Manual requests are processed as soon as possible and within 30 days.
What data will be deleted?
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our servers (Supabase):
- All your journal entries and gratitude reflections.
- All AI chat conversations linked to your device/account.
- Your pet’s progress, level, XP, coins and unlocked items.
- Your streak history, daily goals and rewards.
- Your device ID, friend code, and friend/neighbor connections.
- Your notification settings (reflection time, reminders, etc.).
- Any optional contact information stored in your profile (e.g. phone number).
Some non-identifying technical logs may remain for a short period for security, anti-fraud
or legal reasons, but they are no longer kept in a way that can identify you personally.
Important: Subscriptions
Deleting your Gratitude account does not automatically cancel your Premium subscription.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google.

Apple App Store:
Open your device settings > tap your name > Subscriptions, and cancel Gratitude Premium.

Google Play Store:
Open the Play Store > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions,
and cancel Gratitude Premium.
If you only delete your account but do not cancel your subscription, you may still be charged
by Apple or Google until you cancel it in your store settings.
Data retention
Once your account deletion is complete, your personal data is removed and cannot be recovered.
We do not keep backups of deleted user data in a way that allows us to restore your personal profile,
journal or AI conversations.
